Dear host family, My name is Antonio, and I’m very excited about the opportunity to have an exchange experience and become part of a new family. I’m a very sociable, friendly, and cheerful person, and I’m usually open to trying new things. If someone asks me, “Do you want to do this?”, I will probably say yes! I enjoy doing many different things. I practice jiu-jitsu and other sports, and I also like going to the beach, surfing, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. I enjoy going out, going to festivals and amusement parks, watching movies, listening to music, playing video games, and spending time with my family and friends. I’m also learning to play the guitar and I really like cooking, especially barbecue. I’m a proactive and helpful person, and I like helping with things around the house. I also really like children and pets. I have siblings, so I’m used to sharing things, spending time with other people. One of the things I’m most excited about is experiencing a new culture and improving my English. I want to be open to the American way of life, try new things, make new friends, and create memories that I will remember for the rest of my life. I’m also very interested in learning about my host family’s traditions and daily life, and I would love to share my own culture with them. I have relatives who have already had exchange experiences, and they still have a very good relationship with their host families. I hope I can have the same kind of relationship with my host family and that we can become close even after my exchange is over. I know that living with a new family can be a big change, but I’m ready to adapt, help whenever I can, and be part of the family.
