Dear host family, My name is Sofia and I'm from Brazil. I'm really looking forward to meet my host family and the USA so I'm doing this letter to help my future host family to decide I'd they think I'd fit as a temporary part of their family. Probably the people who live with me would know how to tell you better about how I'm like but I'll try my best. I would describe myself as someone curious, caring, and open-minded. I can be a little shy when first meeting people, but once I'm comfortable, it is as if I've met them my whole life. In my free time I like to balance relaxing and different activities, like having a whole day a the beach and the next day watch my favorite TV show. I also will do my best to act respectful towards my host family. I have a very clear understanding that different families in different countries have different cultures and just different ways of living. Actually one of the things I'm looking forward is to try a different routine and just have six months of a completely different life. I'm also very excited to show Americans about the good things Brazil has to offer, excited to show you music, food and movies to understand a bit more about me. I hope to be a memorie just as good as I know you'll be. I know that studying abroad and going somewhere where there's no one I know can be hard and even stressful but I'm ready to face all of this with positivity and to enjoy all of my good times as my last.
