Dear host family, My name is Lucas, and I am French. I live with my parents, my little sister and my pet rabbit in the countryside in a small town. During school time I go to school from monday to friday, everyday I wake up at six in the morning and take the bus to school at seven a.m. The school is a little bit far and it takes around thirty minutes to get there. School starts at eight a.m and finishes at five p.m. Lunch is always around twelve o'clock and last thirty minutes to one hour. I like school because I have four very good friends in my class. I am also pretty good at mathematics and physics. I don't like French class and biology. After school when I come back home around six in the afternoon I spend one hour on computer playing games (the binding of Isaac, Rainbow six siege and minecraft). Afetrwards I eat dinner with my family, most of the time my father cooks the main dish and my mother the desert. After dinner I do my homeworks and sleep to do it all over again the next day. On wednesdays school finishes earlier at twelve o'clock. Then I spend some time hanging out with my friends in the afternoon. On saturdays afternoon I take class to learn golf. One of my good friend is also learning it, which makes the class a lot more interesting. Sundays is a family day, I wake up late and we take a brunch all together and then play board games, my favorites are "Splendor" and "Terrorscape". I also spend time with my grandfather who is living nearby. It is thanks to him I discovered golf, he took me to golf club when I was 8 years old and I have been playng since then. My great pleasure is to go with him to do some putting. I cannot remember since when I want to go to the United States of America, it is been a dream for a long long time. I really want to discover USA from the inside and not only through movies or the news... I hope to be part of your family and share with you good times. I wish to learn your culture, and share mine. I also want to improve my English (and loose my French accent) and make new friends. I have very high hopes about school because students can really get involved in activities that doesn't exist in France. I really wish to fully experience the american life. I am a bit shy but I get along easily with people, I spend time with my sister and try to help her when something is bothering her. I am hardworking and really wish to do my share of chores : setting the table, doing the laundry, take the garbbage out, but also cooking, I know few French dishes that I would love to share with you. I travelled a little bit in Europe with my family, those trips really opened my mind to new experiences and culture. I feel like that fitting in a new culture wouldn't be too hard for me.
