Dear Host Family, My name is Mathilda and I am so excited to spend a year in the USA and to get to know a new family. In my free time I do contemporary dance and I like going to the gym. Another important part of my life is my horse, Quinn. She is a horse that I ride and take care of. I spend a lot of time at the stable, and I really enjoy looking after her. Taking care of Quinn has taught me to be responsible, patient and reliable. I like being outdoors, working with animals and spending time with them. If you have pets, I would be very happy to get to know them and help with them. I am also part of the student council at my school. I try to help other students and stand up for them when something is not fair. I like working with other people. I like travelling and seeing new places. I have travelled to some places with my mum, and I really liked it. I like seeing how people live in other countries and try new things. Last year, I visited New York with my mum. I was very impressed by the city because it was so big, busy and different from what I know from home. I especially liked seeing the tall buildings, the many people and the different cultures. This trip made me even more excited to spend a year in the USA and to learn more about the life there. My family and friends are very important to me. I am very close to my sister. She is ten years older than me, but we still spend a lot of time together and have a good relationship. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and do different things with them.
