Dear future host family, First of all I wanted to thank you so much for the time you spend to read all of this and maybe picking me from one of so many German students. I would love to spend 1 schoolyear with you and to get new experiences and get to know the American culture. I am Emma, a girl living in a little village in the southwest of Germany. I live in a house with my mother, my father and my bigger brother. Sadly I don´t have pets anymore but i had one dog, 2 guinea pigs and a few chicken. My mother works in health promotion and my father as an electronic engineer. After the holidays I will be in the 10th grade. My favourite subjects are English and Maths. In my free time I meet my friends and I love baking and cooking. I am also very interested in cosmetics and design, skiing, riding and doing gymnastics. I am very open and interested to learn new hobbies. I did cheerleading until a year ago, we went to championships and had a lot of training. I miss doing Cheerleading so much and I wish I could do it in the USA. As I said I would love to do an exchange year in the USA because I love the feeling, the traditions, schools and so much more there. A few years ago I was on vacation in USA and I felt so at ease there right away. I am so excited to meet my future family, my school and the new friends I'll get. Personally, I would describe myself as open, kind, honest, ambitious and funny. My friends and my family would describe me as empathetic, brave and well educated. I love to have fun, I have a very strong will, I stand up for myself, I don't let others influence me, and I am careful with other people's things. The things that are a litte bad about me are I am impatient, I don´t want to have help if i should get help, I need time for myself because sometimes my social battery gets low fast and when I am hungy I am not the same person. When there is conflict in the family, it weighs heavily on me. If it´s possible I would like to have a single room and no other exchange students in the family. I would love it if you had pets as long as they don´t bite me. Thats all about me. Ofcouse I am so exited for my year in your family, learn your traditions and your lifestyle. I am very thankful to have the opportunity to do this year and I thank you so much for your time, your expense and your interest in welcoming me to your family. Yours Emma
