's Letter
Dear Host Family,
Thank you for considering me as a member of your family. I am very excited about the opportunity to become part of your daily life, share traditions, and contribute to your family with a positive attitude and respect.
A little bit about me: I am a very active and sporty person. I don’t enjoy spending the whole day at home doing nothing or sitting in front of the TV or playing video games for hours. Instead, I like staying active, doing sports, trying new things, and making the most of every opportunity. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my friends and family, and saying yes to new adventures.
I would describe myself as friendly, open-minded, reliable, and ambitious. I love meeting new people, listening to their stories, and learning from different perspectives. I enjoy taking on new challenges and always try to maintain a positive attitude. I am also responsible, organized, and happy to help with everyday tasks, whether it’s preparing simple meals, helping with household chores, or supporting younger family members with homework or activities.
Living abroad in the USA has been one of my biggest goals for a long time. I have always been fascinated by the USA and would love to experience American culture firsthand by becoming part of a local family, attending school, participating in community activities, and celebrating traditions together. Friends and family members who have spent time in the USA have shared so many wonderful experiences with me that they inspired me even more to discover the country for myself, improve my English, and gain a deeper understanding of the American way of life.
After high school, I hope to study medicine because I enjoy helping others and have a strong interest in science and healthcare. I believe that living abroad will help me become more independent, confident, and adaptable while strengthening important qualities such as empathy, communication, responsibility, and resilience.
As a member of your family, I would bring curiosity, kindness, respect, and a willingness to help. I am happy to adapt to your family’s routines and rules, join you in your hobbies or activities, and share some of my own culture, traditions, and favorite meals with you. I believe that open communication, mutual respect, and a positive attitude are the foundation of a great exchange experience.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter. I would be truly grateful for the opportunity to become part of your family, learn from you, and create unforgettable memories together. I am excited about this new chapter and hope to make this exchange a wonderful experience for all of us.
Warm regards,
THERESA
