Dear Host Family,
Thank you so much for being willing to practicipate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family.
I am a German boy but my parents are Polish and currently I am still in the 10th grade. I like to try new things and I want to explore the world, including America. I am very excited about the opportunity to experience the American high school life and culture. I want to meet new people, make new friends and build connections also for the future. I am also looking forward to trying new sport, foods and activities. Another important goal for me is to improve my English and become more independent.
I am an open minded, friendly and active person. I like going outside, trying new things and staying positive. I would describe myself as helpful, respectful and creative. I enjoy being around people and making new experiences.
In my free time, I like playing soccer and going to the gym. Sports are a big part of my life, since I do sports for more than twelve years and I also enjoy trying other sports like basketball, volleyball, golf, go-karting and more. I like spending time with my friends and being active. Whenever I do something; always try my best.
I speak German, Polish, English and a little bit Spanish. German and Polish are my native languages and I am motivated to improve my English and speak it more fluently. My favorite subject in school is sports because I enjoy being active and staying fit.
I like helping my family and friends and I also enjoy supporting other people. I am respectful, responsible and I can adapt quickly to new situations.
I live with my parents and my two brothers and we also have a dog. My father works with cars and trucks and my mother is self-employed and often travels for work. Even though we cannot always spend a lot of time together, family is still important to me. My big brother is four years older than me and my small brother is six years younger than me and is still in primary school. Our dog is a Jack Russell Terrier and is eight years old.
I would love to share my culture with you. I can show you typical German and Polish food and traditions. For example, I could introduce you to dishes like schnitzel or pierogi and tell you about holidays like Christmas traditions in both cultures.
I am really excited to become part of your family, expierience your daily life and create unforgettable memories together!
Warm regards,
Emil
