Hello! Dear Host Family, My name is Juan Camilo, and I’m very happy to introduce myself to you. I’m really looking forward to this experience and to getting to know you and your way of life. I would describe myself as a calm, kind, and easygoing person. I enjoy a relaxed environment and I like to keep things simple. I’m usually quiet at first, but I’m friendly and I like connecting with people in a genuine way. I also have a good sense of humor, and sometimes I can be a bit sleepy, which is part of my personality too. In my daily life, I like doing activities that help me relax and enjoy my time. One of my main interests is playing video games, which I see as a fun way to disconnect and have a good time. I also enjoy playing basketball, especially because it keeps me active and allows me to share moments with others. Another important interest for me is music. I like playing the guitar and listening to different types of music, it’s something that really helps me feel calm and express myself. Something a little different about me is that I enjoy exploring unusual places, like abandoned houses. I find them interesting because they are full of history and mystery. I also like discovering new places in general, since I enjoy new experiences and environments. While I’m in the United States, I would really like to experience everyday life with you, learn about your traditions, and explore different places together. I’m especially curious about sports in your country and how people spend their free time. I would also love to try typical food and, if I have the chance, experience snow for the first time.
