LARISSA MIDORI

's Letter

Dear Host Family, Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family. Writing this letter i'm 15 years old but i'm planning my exchange program for 2026 so I will have turned 17 years.I am from and live in Brazil and I just finished my first year of high school here (sophmore), I study at the same school and have lived in the same house since i was born , and i love here, I consider myself lucky to have everything i have but i want to try new things, so I want to go to America to have more experiences, learn more about American culture and improve my studies.I've always studied English because I study at a trilingual school, Portuguese is my native language, but apart from that, the school has always taught me Spanish and English, and that's also a reason why I want to go on the exchange, I want to deepen my English, I consider myself intermediate, and I want to become fluent. I'm a very outgoing, friendly, artistic, polite and studious person. I love going out and have fun with my friends and family,I like reading books,I play the piano, and I love sports, I do volleyball, dancing, and circus (the acrobatics part),i've been doing these activities for a while and i never get tired of them, I'd like to have the chance to continue with them, but I know it might not be possible, so I'm also super excited to do new things. My father is a civil engineer who likes sports and my mother is a business administrator and she is part of a company that sells plastic, which makes diapers for example, and she like to travel, I have a brother who is 3 years younger than me, so he is 12 years old, and besides them I have my dog who is 13 years old, we are a united and companionable family and I hope to become a part of your family as well. I think the most interesting part of Brazilian culture is the music, the food and the festivals that we celebrate throughout the year and I would love to share with you a bit of where I come from. My father also did an exchange, he lived in texas for 1 year so I started to get interested in this idea because of him, and when I saw his pictures it made me more determined to go to America. I believe I can also take fantastic photos and have unforgettable memories with you and my new friends in America. I'm excited to be part of your family! Warm Regards, Larissa.
