's Letter

Hi dear new family, I’m a Brazilian girl, born in Rio de Janeiro, but I live in the countryside. One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world, starting with North America, and learn everything about this amazing experience. This trip means a lot to me because every year I watch my mom take a plane to Germany to work as a chef in a Brazilian restaurant, a job that she loves. She has always told me to chase my dreams and says, ā€œYour dreams are my dreams.ā€ That’s why my family is so important to me. I have never seen snow, and I really hope to see it, but I also love the beach, mountains, and forests. I love sunsets and sunrises because they show us how cycles can be beautiful and meaningful. I’m addicted to superhero movies, like Marvel and DC, and my three favorites are Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, and Spider-Man. I truly love painting, it’s my peace. I really enjoy playing volleyball. I played in school games for three years. I think I’m good, but I still have a lot to learn and improve. In my region, there aren’t many extracurricular activities, so I’m very interested in joining school clubs and classes. I love music—almost all types of music—and I also love animals very much. I have a guinea pig, the most adorable little thing. My dad travels to many towns to organize traditional parties in my region, and when my mom is in Brazil, she helps him. They are divorced, but they are best friends and still care about each other a lot. He is an incredible father, and I feel very privileged to call him my dad. I have a sister who is 28 years old. I know it’s a big age difference, but we understand each other very well. She lives in Rio de Janeiro with my brother-in-law and their two beautiful cats and one dog. My father’s side is a big family, and my mother’s side is a close family, and I hope my future family can be like this too. For me, Brazilian culture is one of the most beautiful in the world, and I would be happy to share some of it with you, like Carnival, songs, artists, and movies. I will also share some funny stories from my life. I want the freedom that only a new place can give me—the freedom to become a new version of myself, full of potential, to reinvent myself and chase my dreams. In the future, I hope to get into a great university, become a successful lawyer, and live in a big city. That is everything I dream about. Thank you for allowing me to live this dream and for reading the letter I wrote about my dreams. I am very excited to experience this new adventure with your family.
