Dear Host Family,
First of all, thank you so much for deciding to host an exchange student. It’s a huge deal for me, and I’m really grateful. I’m from Italy, but my family is Ukrainian, so I’ve grown up between two different cultures. I speak Italian and Russian fluently, and I’m really looking forward to finally speaking English every single day with you.
If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m a reliable and direct person. I’m the kind of guy who says what he thinks, if I have a problem, I’d rather talk about it openly and fix it than keep it inside. I’m also pretty responsible; I have a good group of friends back home and they know they can count on me. I might be a little bit reserved at first, but that’s just because I like to observe and think. I actually have a growing interest in philosophy, because I enjoy looking at things from different perspectives. Once I feel comfortable, I really open up and I’m very easy to talk to.
I'm a really active person, I love the gym, skiing in the winter, and of course, rock climbing. But I also have a creative side; I love drawing and reading comics. I’m also happy to help out around the house and maybe even cook for you! I can make some Italian or Ukrainian dishes. I’m not just looking for a place to stay; I’m looking to become part of your family and share a great year together.
