Dear Host Family, I am very happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I leave in a city in the south of Brazil with many beautiful beaches, as it is an island where you can enjoy water sports with friends and family. I grew up in a very close-knit family. My father’s side of the family lives in my city, including my three uncles, my grandmother, and my two older siblings, Julia and Enzo. The rest of my family lives in my mother’s hometown, which is about one hour away from where I live. Even so, I have a very strong connection with them. I consider myself a charismatic and patient person who finds it easy to make friends. My friends and family say that I am a good listener, and they know they can always count on my support. My school is a five-minute walk from where I live. I start classes at 7:30 a.m. every day, and twice a week I have extra activities and sports. In my free time, I enjoy sports, whether watching or playing. During the week, I play soccer twice a week and also go to the gym. My friends and I like to get together to watch sports such as UFC, basketball, and football, and we also enjoy watching our local soccer team at the stadium. I decided to apply for an exchange program because I want to challenge myself and experience something new. During my stay, I would love to experience aspects of American culture, especially Halloween and Christmas. I would also like to take part in family activities such as game nights and shared meals. I am always willing to help with daily tasks and household organization. I also enjoy surprising my family and friends by cooking something new and tasty. I usually cook meat and pasta dishes.
