's Letter

Dear Host Family, My name is Ignacia and I am very exited excited and grateful with the opportunity to become part of your home and share a meaningful cultural experience with you. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, share a bit about my personality and interests, and express my enthusiasm for the time we may spend together. First of all, I would describe myself as a responsible, respectful, and open-minded person. I value kindness, communication, and mutual respect in any environment I am part of. I am also very adaptable, and I try to approach new situations with a positive attitude, even when they are unfamiliar. I understand that living in a different country and culture is a big change, but I see it as an opportunity to learn, grow, and become more independent. In my daily life, I am quite organized and responsible. I am comfortable taking care of myself, including cooking simple meals and managing my personal routine. I also make a strong effort to keep my space clean and tidy, as I believe that respecting shared spaces is very important when living with others. I would be happy to contribute to household responsibilities and adapt to your family’s routines and expectations. One of my passions is working with people and helping others. I enjoy supporting my classmates academically through tutoring and also taking part in leadership roles in school activities. These experiences have helped me develop patience, communication skills, and empathy. I have also taught athletics to younger children, which has strengthened my ability to be responsible, encouraging, and supportive. I truly enjoy being in environments where I can contribute positively to others. I also love animals, and I feel very comfortable around them. If your family has pets, I would be very happy to help take care of them, whether that means feeding, walking, or simply spending time with them. I find animals to be comforting and enjoyable to be around, and I would see it as a pleasure rather than a task. In my free time, I enjoy staying active and participating in sports, as well as spending time with others in social and collaborative activities. I would be very happy to share experiences with your family, whether that means doing activities together, having conversations, going out, or simply spending time at home. I believe that everyday moments, such as going grocery shopping or doing simple routines, can become meaningful and memorable when experienced in a new culture. I am genuinely looking forward to discovering how daily life is lived in your country, as I know it will be different from what I am used to in Chile, and I will appreciate even the simplest experiences as part of my learning journey. Another important part of my personality is that I am very respectful of family life and personal space. I understand that every family has its own routines, values, and ways of doing things, and I am fully willing to adapt to yours. At the same time, I hope to share a warm and friendly relationship with you, where we can feel comfortable communicating openly and learning from each other. I also see this experience as an opportunity for personal growth. Living with a host family will allow me to become more independent, more responsible, and more aware of different cultures and perspectives. I am eager to improve my communication skills and learn from your daily life, traditions, and experiences. I believe that cultural exchange is not only about language, but also about understanding people and building meaningful connections. Finally, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for considering me as part of your home. I understand that welcoming someone into your family is an important decision, and I want to assure you that I will always act with respect, gratitude, and consideration. I hope to contribute positively to your household and to create a warm and enjoyable experience for all of us. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you and sharing this journey together. Warm regards, Ignacia Aguilera
