Dear host family,
Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with you.
I’m a Chilean girl and I'm in my second year of high school. I want to travel around the world, learn about different cultures, and that includes the USA.
I listen a lot of music. I’m a sarcastic, supportive, enthusiastic, joyful, introvert and fair person. I like to read, watch movies and series about fantasy, action, mythology and history. My native language is Spanish and I’ve been learning English since I was 4 years old. I love to cook, especially sweets, such as cookies, cakes, brownies and mousses.
I enjoy doing sports, some of them are basketball which I have played since I was 10; with my family I go skiing in the winter, we live really close to the ski centers; in vacation I go to a house my family have next to a lake, where I do sailing and water skiing.
My dad is CEO of a company that sells mining and construction machines. He loves mountain biking, camping, sailing and skiing, things we share and do together. My mother is a teacher, she likes reading, watching series and does a lot of sports. My brother is in his first year of high school, and my sister is in 6th grade. We are a very close family, we do a lot of stuff together, and I hope to become part of your family as well.I don’t know what I want to study yet, but I’m interested in the area of science.
A celebration that I love is September 18th, actually it is an all week celebration, and is to commemorate our independence day. During these days we celebrate it with barbecues with the families and friends, or in “fondas” that are like countryside parties with our typical games music.
Best regards,
Candelaria.
