's Letter

Dear Host Family, I would like to begin by thanking you for the opportunity to become part of your family during this exchange program. For me, this experience represents much more than studying in another country; it is a chance to grow as a person, learn from you, and create meaningful connections. I would like you to know that I am a polite, responsible, and goal-oriented person. I value respect, peaceful living, and open communication. I like to help whenever needed at home, whether by keeping my belongings organized or assisting with small daily tasks. I am curious and enjoy learning new things, and I am interested in meeting people and discovering different cultures and stories. I believe family life is about sharing, and I am ready to exchange experiences, learn from you, and also share a part of my culture with your family. I want to study in high school and live in the United States with an American family because I believe this is the best way to truly learn the language and understand the culture. I do not want to learn only in the classroom, but also through daily life, traditions, and family routines. I see this experience as a great opportunity to mature, step out of my comfort zone, become more independent, and develop important skills for my future. In my home country, I have a very close relationship with my family. We are united, communicate openly, and support each other. At home, I learned values such as respect, responsibility, and gratitude. At school, I am dedicated and take my studies seriously because I know education is essential to achieve my dreams. I also have important friendships, which taught me the value of companionship and respect for differences. For my future, I plan to continue my studies and attend university. I dream of becoming a doctor because I want to care for people and make a difference in their lives, especially during difficult moments. I also hope to build a loving and happy family in the future, based on the same values I learned from my own family. I believe this exchange program will be an important step in this path, helping me become more confident, emotionally prepared, and aware of my role in the world. I truly hope to become part of your family and share meals, conversations, laughter, and everyday experiences with you. I promise to be respectful, committed, and grateful for everything you do for me. I am very excited to meet you and to live this special chapter of my life with your family. With gratitude and kindness, Matheus.
