's Letter

Dear host family, My name is Valeria. I live in Spain with my parents, they always encourage me to do my best and to be kind and respectful to others. At home, we enjoy spending time together, talking about how our day went, and helping one another. I consider myself a very active person, I enjoy playing sports and hanging out with my friends when I can. My family is very important to me, and I really enjoy spending time with them. On weekends, we like to go out and do things like visit downtown, see shows, go shopping, or just take a walk. Every third weekend, we go to the town where my grandfather lives to spend time with him, take care of him, and cook for him. My aunts and uncles also live there, and we spend time together enjoying nature. I love helping my parents around the house, I always try to keep my room as clean and tidy as possible so they don't have to bother tidying it up. Living with my parents has taught me many important values, such as being respectful, helping others, and appreciating the little moments we share every day. I feel lucky to have a family that supports me and always encourages me to do my best. School is also a very important part of my life. I enjoy learning new things and exploring different subjects that help me understand the world around me. I try to do my best in class and take my homework and projects seriously. I enjoy working with my classmates; we all get along really well in my class, and I laugh a lot with them. We always help each other out when someone has questions about a subject. My favorite subjects are those related to science, like biology, physics, and chemistry, but I also like trying new topics that challenge me and make me think in different ways. In my free time, I like to stay active and spend time with my friends. I love sports, although I don’t play any regularly right now. A few years ago, I did track and field and loved it, so I hope to start training again during my exchange year. I think it would be a great way to stay healthy, have fun, and challenge myself. I also love skiing. I go skiing once a year with my school, and I always go with my friends. I’ve been skiing since I was very young, and I like to improve my skiing skills every time I go. I enjoy it even more every year because I’m with my friends and we laugh a lot. This sport is exciting, fun, and a great way to spend time outdoors while getting some exercise. Besides sports, I spend most of my free time with my friends, listening to music and watching movies or TV shows. I also enjoy going for walks with my parents or going to the park with my friends. I’m curious and love learning new things. During my exchange year, I hope to try new activities and maybe discover new hobbies I’ve never tried before. Staying active and trying new things makes me feel happy and confident. I also enjoy sharing my hobbies with my friends and family, and I hope to share them with my host family as well. At the same time, I’m really looking forward to learning from them and maybe trying new sports or activities together. I love spending time with my friends. They mean a lot to me, and I always have a great time when we’re together. We like to get together on the weekends to go shopping or to the movies. I hope that during my exchange year I’ll be able to make new friends and have fun with them, just like I do with my friends here. I’m really looking forward to learning about their lives and enjoying new experiences. Thank you very much for this opportunity. Valeria
