's Letter

Hello, My Dear Host Future Family My name is Milana, and I am truly excited about the opportunity to become a part of your family in the United States. I am sincerely grateful for this opportunity and I am very happy to begin my journey to your wonderful country. First of all, I would like to express my appreciation for your hospitality and kindness. I understand that hosting an exchange student is a great responsibility, and it is a true honor for me to become a member of your family during my stay. I will do my very best to be a respectful, considerate, and helpful member of your household. A little about me: I have been professionally involved in sport dancing for 13 years. It is a very important part of my life and has taught me discipline, dedication, and responsibility. I have also been practicing acrobatics for the past 2 years, which helps me develop strength, flexibility, and endurance. I had the incredible opportunity to visit the International Children’s Center Artek, which was a very special and inspiring experience for me. I am also a winner of the All-Russian competition “Bolshaya Peremena.” The main prize was a journey across Russia from Moscow to Vladivostok, during which I visited 13 different cities. This experience allowed me to learn more about my country, meet inspiring people, and become more independent and open-minded. I truly enjoy traveling, discovering new cultures, and meeting new people. I am active, open-minded, and communicative. I easily connect with others and always try to create a positive and friendly atmosphere around me. My family consists of four members and our beloved dog named Teffi. There is a mom, a dad, a little brother, and me. We are a very active in sport family. My parents love running and regularly participate in national running events across Russia. My brother does athletics and is very interested in mathematics and playing the piano. In the evenings, we enjoy spending time together watching movies and playing board games. Family time is very important to us. Attending high school in the USA and living with an American family feels like the next natural step in my journey. I’ve always loved learning English, but I know the real progress happens when you’re surrounded by the language 24/7 — not just in textbooks, but in real conversations, jokes, and everyday moments. I’m especially excited about the cultural exchange. I want to sit at the dinner table with my host family, hear their stories, celebrate holidays together, and maybe even teach them a few things about my own culture. At school, I hope to join clubs or sports teams, make friends from different backgrounds, and experience that famous «school spirit» I’ve heard so much about. Most importantly, I believe this experience will change me as a person. Facing new challenges, navigating a different system, and building connections across cultures will make me more confident, resilient, and globally minded. I’m ready for this adventure and grateful for the opportunity. After high school, my goal is to study at a university in Moscow. I aim to pursue a degree that bridges my interests in arts, social sciences, and education. Whether it’s in cultural studies, performing arts management, or pedagogy with a focus on creative disciplines, I want my studies to prepare me for a career where I can: inspire young people through dance and movement, promote social responsibility and environmental awareness, bridge cultures through art and education, lead community projects that combine creativity with positive change. My career vision is to combine inspiration and growth — using dance as a universal language, education as a tool for empowerment, and service as a way to build stronger communities. I’m excited about the road ahead, and I’m committed to turning my passions into meaningful action. I hope to adapt quickly to my new environment and actively participate in your family’s daily life. I am very interested in learning about your traditions, culture, and everyday routines.I am ready to help with household responsibilities and take part in family activities. It is important to me not to be just a guest, but a true member of your family. Thank you again for your kindness and support. I am really looking forward to meeting you and starting this exciting new chapter of my life. Best of regards, Milana
