Dear Future Host Family, My name is Nastia, and I am very happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I would describe myself as a very responsible, sociable, and kind person. I truly enjoy making new friends, improving my knowledge and doing things that makes me happy. I live with my mom, dad, my younger sister and my little brother. My brother is still very small, so I often help my mom take care of him. I really enjoy spending time with him, playing, and helping whenever it is needed. Because of this, helping at home has become a natural part of my daily life. I always keep my room clean and wash the dishes after myself, and I like being supportive of my family. Unfortunately, we don’t have any pets at home because my mom is allergic to animal fur. However, I love animals very much. When I was younger, I often fed stray cats and dogs near my home. If my future host family has a pet, I would be very happy because I think animals make a home feel even warmer and more joyful. At school, my favourite subjects are Ukrainian language, English, and algebra. I really enjoy learning languages and improving my skills, and I also like solving logical problems in math. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, hanging out with my friends and making up stories in my head, so maybe in the future I will write a book. I enjoy both active and calm activities. Sometimes I love dancing, running, or doing something energetic. At other times I prefer peaceful activities like yoga, drawing or playing chess, which help me relax and also train my mind. I also enjoy spending time with children. At my school, there is a work program where students can spend a few hours in a preschool, playing with children and organizing activities for them. I really like doing this because it is fun and meaningful to stay with kids and help them learn and enjoy their day. I would love to become part of a host family because it is a wonderful opportunity to learn about a new culture, daily life and share my own traditions as well. I am open to new experiences and would be happy to spend time together—cooking, travelling, watching movies, playing games, or simply talking and learning from each other.
