's Letter
Dear Host Family,
Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family.
I am a 16-year-old Brazilian girl and have just finished my first year of high school (10th grade in Brazil). I am a person with a lot of differents interests and one of the biggest is to travel the world and meet new cultures, that is why I chose to do an exchange. I would love to know more about the culture of your country by sharing this experience with you.
I am an introverted person but at the same time I am communicative. When you get to know me you will see that I can be a very talkitive person. People say that I am a straighforward, sincere, lovely and academic person. I enjoy studying, reading, music, movies, documentaries and going out. One of my favorites things is learning new langueges, like English and Spanish, and I look forward to improve my English there. Although I don't have the opportunity to volunteer where I live, I really want to involve myself in activities like that in the US. One of the things that make me really happy is helping other people. That is why I love the phrase "I want to be somebody to someone".
I already tried to play some sports but at the moment I am not practicing any. Even though I don't play sports, I go to the gym every day and sometimes I go bike riding or running on weekends. I would like to join a club at school there because I don't have that opportunity in my school in Brazil.
My dad work away half of the month and stay home the other half. My mom work a lot from home and is very present in my life. My brother is 5 years older than me and is in college. I have a very lovely dog and I love to play with her. Even though my parents are divorced, we still are a very united and functional family. I hope I can be a part of your family too.
I am really excited to meet you and to have a lot of unforgettable moments next to you! Hope we see eachother soon!
Warm Regards,
Julia
