Dear future host family, my name is Tanem, but my friends and family call me Tani and I‘m already looking forward to the stay in the US. I am really excited about the American culture and every day life for example experiencing Halloween or Christmas there. Trying food we don't have here or going to schools sport games. I am very open for new things .I love doing sports , especially playing soccer. I played soccer for three years. Before playing soccer in a real team, I was in a swim team. Unfortunately I had to stop playing in a club because I got hurt in my back. But now everything is fine and I can play soccer again but unfortunately i don’t have the time to play in a club anymore because of school. It was a hard decision but I needed to focus on my grades. But of course I’m playing soccer with my dad or bigger brother in my free time and I think that I start playing in the next months again. I also love watching soccer especially when Galatasaray Istanbul or the Turkish national team plays. I like ball sports and I’m not a big fan of gymnastics or cheerleading. I want to join a sports/schools team, hopefully soccer but maybe I’ll try something new. I don't just like watching soccer, I also like watching different sports like basketball live in a stadium. I also enjoy baking and cooking and of course eating new food. I think that I can cook everything if I have a recipe. One of my favorite food is fried chicken with fries and favorite drink is Applejuice. One of my favorite desert is lava cake or crepe. I also like visiting interesting museums, theaters or parks. I’m a fan of light colors and not of dark colors, for example my whole room is white. I’m a very honest person, I hate it when people lie at me. I can motivate people and talk with them when they need somebody to talk about their problems. I’m also a very fun and entertaining person. I can make and understand jokes. I love listening to music and go to concerts. I love spending time with my family and friends. When we are going on a trip, I’m the person who plans everything. I’m also in a good relationship with my Aunt and younger cousins. I play with them games and enjoy the time we have. I have no allergies and like pets. I have a dog and a cat but but I don't really like things in nature e.g bugs, bees, spiders, fish or other animals. I’m a communicative person and a great teamworker. When I’m with my friends or family I always check that nobody feels excluded. With my brother we mostly play a soccer video game called fifa. With my mom I go shopping ,go on a walk with my dog, cook in the kitchen, go to events like concerts and watch Turkish movies together. We even have a mother-daughter day. With my Dad I also go shopping, watch/go soccer or basketball games, clean the car, grill, clean the garden, play soccer and go to events. I also enjoy game nights, like playing monopoly together. I’m a fan of going shopping clothes in malls or on flea markets. I love traveling, one of my biggest dream is to visit as many countries as possible when I am older. I already visited 11 Countries. I also love helping others and encourage them to do things. I like doing gifts and give them to persons I love. It makes me happy to see that somebody is happy because of me. I like go out with my friends and hang out with them. I’m a person with adrenaline e.g I’m not scared of driving (not very dangerous) roller coaster or high water slides but I’m scared of climbing high. I really have a strong bond to my younger cousins from. We almost meet every Weekend although they are 6 years younger than me. We play games ,they are like siblings to me. I’m also social engaged right now in school. I help the new fifth graders to feel good at their new school. The tutor team organized games and went with the kids on schooltrip to make them feel good and help them to get to know each other. After School I mostly eat something and then go in my room and rest. Sometimes I’m so tired that I even make a nap :) .I even have a small bucket list e.g. Go shopping. Go out at halloween night, making christmas cookies or going on friday school games :) .
