Dear host family, My name is Antonio and I am from Spain. I am 15 years old and I am currently in 10th grade in high school. I am very excited about this new opportunity to go to the United States and meet all of you. I am a caring, supportive, polite, kind, and curious person that hopes to match you and being part of your family as soon as possible. I come from a supportive and good family that educated me to respect all kind of people. They are very nice and caring people, that always help me to improve. I have one sister two years younger than me she´s 13 and she´s called Alba, my dad is called David and he works for cybersecurity and my mom is called Inma that works like a nurse in a hospital. At home, I try to be helpful whenever I am asked to do something. I make all my chores and try to make them happy. At school I try all my hardest to learn all the things that the teachers explain to me. I enjoy math and physics. I´m very hardworking at the school and very nice with the students and teachers. I don’t always get perfect grades, but I put a lot of effort studying and understanding what I learn anyway I´m looking forward to learning or having more knowledge for my future goals. In my free time I do many activities like: playing chess, basketball, board games, mystery games, video games, watching movies or series, hanging out with my friends, but the one of the things that I’m proudest of is writing a book. I am very sociable with everyone, I like to chat about life and help people with their issues. So if you want to play or need help with something I will be there for you. I wish to participate in this program because I want to challenge myself, make new friends, discover different cultures, show how´s mine and live an amazing experience for finding and achieving new goals. Of course, to improve my English skills it´s also important for me, but for me is more important living with you almost one year. I chose the United States because it is one of the best countries in the world. Besides I believe that this experience will open many doors in my future. I think the more knowledge and experiences the more successful and happiness I´ll have in the future. I have many friends that had this opportunity of living in an American family, thanks to this program, and returned fascinated and happy with the family, friends, program, school... Everything. I am always polite and respectful with everyone, regardless of religion or ethnic background. I enjoy listening to other people’s opinions and sharing my own point of view in a respectful way. I believe we can have interesting conversations about many topics, and I would be happy to share a European or Spanish perspective.
