's Letter

Dear Host Family, My name is Iryna, and I am very excited about the opportunity to become a part of your family through the AYUSA exchange program. Learning languages has always been an important part of my life. I study English and Spanish and enjoy practicing them at home through small exercises, videos, and reading. For me, learning languages feels like training my brain, and it helps me feel more confident when meeting new people and adapting to new situations. I believe languages are a bridge between cultures, and I truly enjoy using them to communicate with others. I am an active person and like to stay healthy. I enjoy sports such as tennis, badminton, and volleyball at a recreational level. I also love dancing. For many years, folk dancing was a very important part of my life, and even now it remains something that brings me joy and helps me express myself. One of the most important experiences in my life was moving from Ukraine to Spain. Because of the war, this change happened suddenly, and I had to adapt to a new country, a new language, and a new culture. Although it was challenging at first, this experience helped me become more independent, flexible, and emotionally strong. I learned how to adjust to change, stay positive, and continue growing even in difficult situations. I enjoy living in Spain because I feel more comfortable in warmer climates. In colder weather, I try to take extra care of my health by dressing properly and paying close attention to my well-being. At the moment, I am still exploring my future career path, but I believe it may be connected with languages or international communication. I enjoy learning about different cultures and meeting people from around the world, and I see this exchange program as an important step in my personal and academic development. During my stay in the United States, I hope to improve my English and learn more about American culture and everyday life. I am especially interested in American traditions and holidays such as Halloween and Christmas. I would love to experience the atmosphere, decorations, and family traditions in real life. I am also excited to attend an American school, learn how classes work, and take part in school activities. I enjoy traveling, discovering new places, and trying new activities, and I would be happy to share these experiences with my host family. At home, I am calm, respectful, and responsible. I like keeping my space clean and organized and am always ready to help with small household tasks if needed. I enjoy spending time together as a family, whether it is having dinner, talking about the day, going for walks, or doing simple activities together. I value family rules and understand the importance of respect and communication. I consider myself a friendly, open-minded, and positive person. I enjoy meeting new people and learning from them, and I am always willing to participate in family events and activities. I would love to share my culture and traditions with you and become not just a guest, but a true member of your family during my stay. Thank you very much for opening your home and hearts to exchange students. I truly appreciate this opportunity and look forward to creating many wonderful memories together. Warm regards, Iryna
