's Letter

Dear Host Family, My name is Jaime, and I am 16 years old. I come from Spain and I live in a town near Madrid with my parents and my brother who is 15 years old. My family is very important to me and we are very close. We like spending time together doing simple things like going on vacations, going to the cinema, or watching football games together, especially when Atlético plays. At home we try to help each other and spend time talking about our day. My parents have always taught me to be respectful, kind, and responsible, and they support me in the decisions I make. I consider myself a friendly and positive person. I like meeting new people and learning about different ways of living. I also try to be respectful and understanding with others. If someone around me needs help or is feeling sad, I try to support them and make them feel better. I think it is important to treat people well and create a good environment around you. I also like to stay active and enjoy trying new experiences. At school I try to work hard and do my best. I like learning new things and working with my classmates on projects. One experience that helped me learn a lot was participating in a school project where we learned about work responsibilities. I also spent some time helping my father at his restaurant. There I learned how teamwork works and how much effort is needed to run a business. These experiences helped me become more responsible and organized. In my free time I really enjoy playing sports. One of my favorite activities is playing tennis. I like it because it helps me stay active and improve through practice and effort. I also enjoy playing other sports with my friends, spending time outside, and exploring nature. Being active and sharing these moments with friends makes me very happy. I decided to participate in this exchange program because I want to experience a new culture and grow as a person. I believe living with a host family and attending school every day is the best way to really understand another country. I am excited to meet new people, learn new traditions, and become more independent. I also hope to improve my English and gain new perspectives that will help me in the future. I believe I can bring a positive attitude to my host family and community. I am respectful, open-minded, and willing to help whenever I can. I would love to share my culture, my interests, and my experiences with you. I am also excited to learn about your traditions, daily life, and the things that make your family special. I also really value the time I spend with my friends. I have a small group of close friends and we enjoy doing many activities together. We often play sports, go for walks, watch movies, or just hang out and talk. I really enjoy these moments because we always have fun and support each other. We also like trying new things together, like exploring places near our town or playing different sports, and other times we simply spend time outside enjoying the day. These experiences have taught me how important friendship, respect, and teamwork are. I believe friendships help us grow and learn from each other. Thank you very much for opening your home and for giving me the opportunity to be part of your family during this experience. I am really grateful and excited to meet you and share this adventure together. I hope we can create great memories and learn a lot from each other during this year. Sincerely, Jaime
