Dear host family, My name is Agathe, and I am writing to tell you more about who I am. I am a motivated, positive and curious person who loves discovering new things and meeting new people. The opportunity to become part of your family means a lot to me, and I hope this letter will help you know me a little better. To began, sport is a very important part of my life. I currently practice gymnastics, and I truly love being active, I also practice some sport with my mom and my sister. Before that, I played basketball for 10 years, which taught me discipline, teamwork and perseverance. In general, I really enjoy sports because they help me feel balanced, confident and they permit to evacuate stress and feel adrenaline. I am also a responsible and caring person. I like helping others and I always try to be kind and supportive. In my free time, I love listening to music, reading, drawing, painting, going to the cinema, singing (even if I'm really bad at it hahaha !), spending time with my family and hanging out with my friends. I am someone who values close relationships and enjoys sharing simple but meaningful moments with the people around me, like cooking together, watching movies, or having meaningful conversations at dinner. I believe communication is very important, and I always try to express myself honestly and respectfully. If there is ever a problem or misunderstanding, I prefer to talk about it and find soluntions together. At home and with my friends , I always try to solve problems this way, by talking openly and listening to each other, even though it does not happen very often because we rarely have conflicts. At school, I consider myself organized and serious about my work. My school days usually start at 8 a.m. and finish at 6 p.m., so I have learned to manage my time efficiently. I always try to do my best and stay focused on my goals because later on, I would like to be a pediatrician; it's my dream job ! I really love this profession because I have a strong interest in medecine and I truly enjoy being around children. I have been attracted to the United States since I was very young. I admire the American way of life, the diversity of cultures, and the different traditions that make the country so unique. Most of all, I absolutely love English. It is a language I truly enjoy, and I would love to improve my level because of that, but also because I know it is an international language, and an important asset for the future and I am very exciting about improving my English by speaking every day with you. I am motivated to step out of my comfort zone and fully experience American life. Through this program, I hope to discover your culture from the inside, share my own culture with you, and create unforgettable memories together. I am open-minded, respectful, and ready to adapt to your family's lifestyle.
