's Letter

Dear Host Family, My name is Cristina and I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my letter and consider welcoming an exchange student into your home. I truly appreciate your openness and kindness. I am originally from Ukraine, from the city of Kyiv. In 2022, due to the war, my family and I moved to Poland. This experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and appreciation for safety, stability, and human support. Living in a new country helped me become more open-minded, independent, and respectful of different cultures and ways of life. I come from a caring and supportive family, where family bonds and everyday communication are very important. I have a younger brother, and being an older sister has taught me responsibility, patience, and care for others. I enjoy spending time with him, helping him, and being a positive example. Because of this, I feel very comfortable around children and truly enjoy their energy, honesty, and curiosity. At school, I am an active and engaged student. I take my responsibilities seriously and try to approach learning with curiosity and motivation. I am especially interested in subjects connected with people, culture, communication, and tourism. I enjoy working both independently and in a team, and I try to be reliable and organized in everything I do. Sports play an important role in my life. I am very passionate about volleyball, which has taught me teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Playing volleyball helps me stay active, focused, and motivated, and it also shows me how important cooperation and trust are when working with others. I am also interested in theatre and creative activities. Theatre helps me express myself, understand emotions better, and develop confidence. It has taught me how to communicate clearly, listen carefully, and work with different personalities, which I believe is very valuable in everyday life. Another important part of my life is my love for animals. I enjoy spending time with them and believe they teach us empathy, responsibility, and kindness. I am calm, gentle, and attentive, which helps me connect easily with both animals and people. I would describe myself as open-minded, energetic, and positive. I adapt quickly to new situations, respect rules and traditions, and always try to be polite and helpful. I value honesty, kindness, and good communication. I would like to participate in a school exchange program because I see it as a meaningful opportunity for personal and academic growth. Living with a host family and attending a local school would allow me to truly experience everyday life, culture, and values in another country. I chose this destination because I am interested in its culture, language, and educational system, and I would love to become a temporary part of the local community. I believe I can bring positivity, responsibility, and enthusiasm to your family, school, and community. I am always willing to help with daily tasks, take part in family activities, and share my culture in a respectful and natural way. Thank you very much for your hospitality and for opening your home to me. I truly appreciate your kindness and hope to become a warm, respectful, and grateful member of your family during my stay. Kind regards, Cristina
