Dear host family, Hi i'm Maartje, and I am the kind of person who says yes first and think later. I like new things and new places and a little bit of eximent in life sitting still is not really my talent. I like action and chalenges. I like skien, rollecosters, zip lining and go carting. Traveling and discovering new places give me engergie. I learn most from doing things i like. And bring somthing new. At the same time i'm also very caring. When people around me are not feeling good I notice it quieckly and want to help. With friends and family I’m loyal and I take relationships seriously. If someone is important to me , I stay, I like being someone others can trust. I don’t have any special wishes or demands, but there is one thing that would make me really happy. I would love to become part of a family with brothers and/or sisters. I think it would be so nice to hang out together, do activities and really build a strong bond. Preferably they would be around my age, so we can share interests and understand each other well. For me, the most important thing is to feel welcome and truly at home in your family. I am open to new experiences and I’m really looking forward to learning more about your culture and daily life. I’m a hard worker. and I have a big dream for the future. I want to become a police officer in the netherlands. I can only start when I’m 18, so for now im using this time to grow and learn about the world. I believe that living in the USA wil help me become a better person, because I wil understand different people, cultures and ways of thinking. I hope to bring my caring side into your family. i want to help where I can, be respectful and also bring some new energy and fun into your home. I'm not perfect, sometimes a bit chaotic but I always try to do my best. I see this year not as a holiday, but as a adventure that wil shape who I become later in life.
