SUNATTHA
's Letter
Hello, my name is Iris. At first, I may seem a little shy, but I usually adapt well to new people and environments. Once I feel more comfortable, I naturally become more talkative and open. I am interested in learning new things and the environment. I enjoy discussing music bands, movies, and topics such as history and politics because I appreciate learning new perspectives and understanding how different people think. I consider myself a good listener. If there is anything I should improve or adjust while living together, I would truly appreciate your guidance so I can do my best to fit in and be a respectful member of your family.
In my free time, I enjoy creating ceramic crafts, such as keychains and small bag decorations. I also like drawing, especially things I see around me, such as different kinds of flowers. These activities help me relax and express myself. I can eat almost anything, but I don’t like foods with pickled ingredients, and I don’t have any allergies. I decided to join this exchange program because I truly want to challenge myself and grow as a person. I believe that living in a different country will help me become more independent, open-minded, and confident. Studying in the United States has always interested me because of its diverse culture and the opportunity to meet people from many different backgrounds. I am excited to experience American high school life, try new activities, and step out of my comfort zone.
While staying with my host family, I hope to become not just a guest, but a real member of the family. I would love to spend time together doing simple daily activities, such as cooking meals, watching movies, celebrating holidays, or even just talking about our day. I am also happy to help with household chores and follow family rules. I respect family values very much, and I hope we can share our cultures and learn from each other.
I may be a little quiet at first, but I am genuinely curious about people and different ways of life. I am open to trying new food, new hobbies, and new traditions. I hope that by living together, we can build meaningful memories and a connection that lasts even after the program ends.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter. I am looking forward to meeting you and sharing new experiences.
Regards,
Iris
