Dear future Host Family, First of all I want to thank you for giving me this amazing opportunity, for taking part in this exchange program and for letting me be a part of your family. My name is Linea I am 15 years old and I live in Germany. I am in 10th grade right now. I’m an outgoing person as soon as I feel comfortable with the people around me. I would describe myself as a good listener and a rather quiet person, but I love to try out new things (except spicy food). My goal is to see the world the culture, traditions and the life of different people and countries. I am very curious about going on an american high school beause I want to try new subjects, do sport activities or ride the yellow school bus. I am excited to live with an American family because I want to learn about your culture, traditions or the way you live. I am looking forward to take part in new traditions that I didn’t experience yet like thanksgiving or christmas in the morning. I would love to get to know your family traditions that you may have or to show you traditions from my family. I love to dance. I’ve been dancing ballet since I am 3 years old and about 6 years ago I started with modern dance. I made many friends through this sport which makes me enjoy it even more. What I love about dance is all the things you can try like different dance styles or the performances. We had many performances inspired by different movies for example Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan sometimes we have really pretty costumes, but we also perform in simple or creative outfits like self made rat hats. I hope that I can continue my passion in America. Another hobby that I’ve been doing since my childhood is horse riding. I just love to be with these wonderful animals my goal isn’t to win competitions but just to have fun when riding. My favourite thing about horse riding is the freedom you feel when sitting on a horse. Three times a month I volunteer in my church with my friend we teach young teenagers things about their religion by playing games or reading in the bible. It’s something I really enjoy because I get to spend a lot of time with my friend and learn new things about working with kids and teenagers. I love animals especially dogs. My grandma has a dog and she is like my own dog I go outside with her, teach her tricks or just cuddle with her. I had bunnies for 5 years but they sadly died and we decided to not get new ones. My dad also has fishes but they are really small. I don’t have any allergies against animals. My love for animals is the reason for my future plans of becomig a Vet to help them. In Germany I live together with my mom, my dad and my older brother who is 17 years old in a small town in our house. Me and my brother get along really good even though we fight sometimes what I believe is pretty normal with siblings. My favourite day of the week is Wednesday because I go to my grandparents for lunch together with my cousins and my brother. After lunch I usually go volunteer in the church with my friend and after that I go to modern dance with my cousin. I have 2 cousins one is only 6 months younger than me we grew up together so we are really close her name is Alena. My other cousin Anton is 11 years old he is like a little brother to me we always do silly things together or do a sleepover at my grandparents house with a lot of snacks. My familys and my favourite holiday is Christmas because the whole family comes together and we have a lot of food. I love to bake cookies during christmas holidays in funny forms and with sprinkles. During the winter time we often go skiing in Austria. I’ve been skiing since I was a toodler. We also love summer holidays because we get to travel to the beach or big citys. I love to visit big citys and see all the famous stuff. During the week I usually don’t do a lot with my family but on the weekends I often go shopping with my mom. Sometimes me and my cousins go hiking together which is really fun with the whole family. I love to do things together with my family and I am looking forward to be a part of your family and to do fun stuff together! I have a big obsession with the netflix series Stranger Things. I began to watch it in 2023 and I was very excited about the last season that came out in november. I got a big lego house from the series and kinderjoy had stranger things funko pops which are little figures and I collected nearly all of them. For christmas I got a wooden puzzle with a lot of details from the series I love it. Do you have a favourite series or movie you are obsessed with?
