Malea
's Letter
Dear future host family, my name is Malea and i am really excited that i get the opportunity to be part of a new family and go on an exchange year! I am already looking forward to stay in the USA and experience the culture. I love to spend time with my family and friends and it is important to me to continue this in America. I have a really open realationship with my family. Thanks to my Brother i can understand all fun and jokes but i can be serious if i need to be. I am honest and friendly. I can seem shy at first but once i get comfortable i open up pretty quickly. I love pets and i actually have two cats. I would say i love all animals but thats not entirely true. I do have a fear of birds. Especially bigger birds like goose but almost every bird, no matter the size gets me to run away from them. I do belive that everyone should get treated equally and i hate to exclude people. When i am anywere with my friends i want to make sure that nobody gets excluded. I go out with my friends quite a lot. i dont really go to partys or anything like that often. I also spend a lot of time with my mum and i really like to cook or go shopping with her. Me and my mum have a really great realationship and we can poke fun at eachother without getting mad which i think really helped to create that amazing bond we have. I also have a grat realationship with my dad and we laugh a lot together. My dad helps me a lot with school and just everything when i have a problem. My aunt and uncle also live next door and i go over there pretty often to play with my cousins. i have two cousins both are girls and the older one is 8 and the smaller one turns 4 in december. I also babysit sometimes but not really that often but i would say i can deal with kids pretty good. I really love my friends and family and i know it will be very hard to leave them but i know i can get through it and i think its nice to believe i have a strong support system back home. Me and my Family travel a lot together and i really enjoy this. I've been to so many countries and i am really grateful for it because i know not many kids my age get those opportunities. An exchange year has always been a dream of mine. My aunt on my dads side (not the one living next to me) lived abrod a huge chunk of my childhood and i think this kind of inspired me to do this exchange year. I also picked up a new hobby about two years ago. I started doing my own and sometimes my Friends nails. I really enjoy this and it makes me feel pretty calm but it also takes a lot of time. I really hope i can continue doing them in America. I may not know you yet but i am really excitet to be part of your family. Sincerely, Malea.
