's Letter
Dear Host Family,
Thank you very much for considering welcoming me into your home. I am very excited about the opportunity to live with an American family and experience daily life in the United States. I hope this letter will help you get to know me better.
I am an active, friendly, and open-minded person. Sports are very important to me. For a long time, I have been training in triathlon because I enjoy swimming, cycling, and running. This hobby has taught me discipline, focus, and how good it feels to work hard and see progress over time. About a year ago, I also started playing soccer with two of my close friends. I really enjoy soccer because it is a team sport, and it has taught me how to communicate, cooperate, and support others. I also love spending time outdoors and being active in different ways. At the moment, I especially enjoy ice skating with my friends.
At home, I live with my mother, my father and my younger sister, and we have a close relationship. I love pets. Unfortunately, we don't have any pets ourselves because our family loves traveling. Nevertheless, I enjoy exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. I also spend a lot of time with my friends. We like doing sports, going out, or simply talking and having fun. In school, my favorite subjects are Biology and Sport because I am very interested in the human body and how we can stay healthy and active. I have also started working at my school, helping younger children, and this experience taught me responsibility, patience, and how important trust and structure are.
I want to attend high school in the United States because I want to experience a new culture, meet new people, and learn how daily life in an American family is different from mine. I hope to make lasting friendships, join new activities, and grow more independent and confident. I am excited to share my own culture, learn from yours, and enjoy many new experiences together.
Thank you again for taking the time to read my letter. I look forward to meeting you and becoming part of your family.
Warm regards,
Hannah
