Dear Host Family, I am very grateful that you decided to participate in this program and accepting me living with you for one year, which I’m really excited about. I’m a Brazilian teenage girl who wants to have a whole year in a different country, that would be the USA, studying and learning everything I can with this experience. And I also want to bring my own lessons and knowledge to you. I am a more introverted person, but it doesn’t mean I dislike having fun and meeting new people, I’m creative, intelligent, artistic, passionate and loyal to my beloved ones. I’m not the biggest fan of sports, the only one I like and play is volleyball, but I do enjoy watching and cheering in school games and the olympics. I’ve already played handball and done swimming. I love reading, listening to music, my favorite genres are pop and indie, taking pictures, swimming, drawing, and playing the guitar. One of my biggest wishes is learning how to play the piano, I think it is so beautiful. I really enjoy learning, which is completely different from studying, and I am very academically related. I like doing Math and Science olympics, and I’ve already won many medals. My favorite classes are History and Geography, and I have a huge interest in Astronomy and Geopolitics. My family is formed by me, my elder sister, who’s in the first year of business college, my mother, who’s starting her own company about women in business, my father, who has his own engineering company, and my dog, who I love so much. I dream of, one day, having another pet, a cat! I think they’re so cute and adorable. One of my favorite things to do is traveling, it doesn’t matter where, I just love the trip itself, long road trips or traveling by plane, it’s always perfect and fun. The place that I love the most is the beach, I lived in a beach city so a piece of me will always belong to the sea, the sun and the sand. When I go to the exchange program next year, I hope I can bring and share my culture to you, with delicious Brazilian foods, stories and traditions.
