's Letter

Dear Host Family, Hello! Let me introduce myself. My name is Siyeon, and I am from Korea. I am a bright, friendly, thoughtful, and positive person. I enjoy spending time with new people, so I am excited to build friendships with American friends. Although I feel a little nervous about going to the U.S. as an exchange student, I am even more excited to experience a new world and culture. I enjoy light exercise, and I have learned how to play badminton, so I am quite good at it. I especially love playing badminton with my family because it is twice as fun when we play together. I also love spending time with my dog, as it helps me feel energized and relieved from stress. In addition, I really enjoy drawing and doodling. I attended an art academy when I was younger, and these days I have been watching a lot of animations, so I like drawing animation characters. I think schools in the U.S. offer a wider variety of clubs than schools in Korea, so I would love to try many new activities. For example, I am interested in joining clubs related to animals, drawing, or volunteering. My dream is to become an interpreter, so I hope to practice speaking English naturally, just like a local. While I am in the U.S., I truly hope to get along with you and become part of your family. I would also love to learn how to cook dishes such as fried rice, steamed eggs, and rolled omelets from my mom, and cook Korean food for you as well. Thank you so much for welcoming me into your family. I am really looking forward to meeting you soon. Warm regards, Siyeon
