's Letter

Dear future host family, My name is Agatha and I'm from France. I am very happy and excited to write to you and finally have the opportunity to meet you. Doing an exchange year in the United States has been my dream for the past two year, and the U.S. has been a dream for me since I was a little girl. I am a very friendly, open-minded and sociable person. Making friends is easy for me, and friendship is something extremely important in my life. I have a best friend Iโ€™ve known for four years and a best friend Iโ€™ve known for ten years, I have many friends, and I love spending time with them, going out, talking together. I really like sports and I have tried many different sports and I would love to do a sports activity at school during my exchange year, especially volleyball or cheerleading. I also enjoy listening to music, spending time with my family and my friends and enjoying simple moments everyday. I am used to having freedom, which helps me be responsible and independent. Family is very important to me. We are four in my family, and I have a little brother who is two years younger than me. We get along very well and love spending time together. I also have many cousins mostly older cousins and I get along very well with them. I usually feel comfortable with older people but having a younger brother or sister would not be a problem for me at all. My parents are divorced so I live one week with my mother and one week with my father. This has helped me learn how to adapt easily. At home, I help my parents with daily tasks like doing the dishes, keeping my room clean and doing the laundry. I already had the chance to visit New York, and I fell in love with the city. That experience made my dream of living in the United States even stronger. I am very excited to discover American culture, share your daily life and become part of your family. I would describe myself as friendly, sociable, respectful and curious. I am always open to new experiences and new ways of living. I am really looking forward to meeting you, learning from you and creating unforgettable memories together. Thanks you very much for taking the time to read my letter and I hope to meet you very soon.
