's Letter
Dear future host family,
My name is Julia I’m brazilian I live with my parents and I’ve been dreaming about my exchange for a long time.
I've always had the desire to travel to the United States, not to stay for a short time , but to live there. When I started researching about the exchange I was sure that's what I wanted to do. This is the realization of a dream that will bring me great opportunities. I want to meet new people, make new friends, to become fluent in English and live all possible experiences.
Now a little about me
What I like to do:
In my free time I like to cook different foods, I like to listen to music (I like to listen to music based on my emotions). I love going out with my friends to spend time with them, I like to travel with my family and I also love going shopping with my mother. I don't like being alone, so I'm always doing things with people I like.
My routine:
From Monday to Friday I wake up at 6 in the morning to go to school that starts at 7:30 and ends at 1:15. In the afternoon I study and go to the gym according to the demand of the day, sometimes in the early or middle of the afternoon. During the night I stay with my parents, prepare my backpack for the next day and get ready for bed. I like to follow a routine because it makes me organize myself better and optimizes my time.
My chores at home:
In my house everyone needs to help, my most important chore is always keeping my room clean and organized. As my parents ask me, I also vacuum and wipe the floor, dust the shelves, wash the dishes , and sometimes I prepare some meals. They help me with my tasks when I need.
My personality:
I'm not a shy person, I make friends easily and I like to talk to people of all ages. I have an active sense of leadership and I act as a class representative for three years, and in two years my class won first place the gymkhana, I like organization and I'm very dedicated to the things I do. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, especially with school so I study a lot.
Sometimes I get anxious because I always want to plan things but I know how to deal well with unforeseen events.
Finally, I would like to say that I will be very grateful to be part of your family, I hope we can live incredible moments and a lot of learning. It will be an experience that will change my life and I hope that my stay there will also change your life, for the better. I’m really excited to meet you.
My sincere gratitude,
Julia.
