Dear host family, my name is Charlotte and I live in Germany. My family is half German and half French. At school, I love English classes and sports. When it comes to sports, I prefer things like track and field or ball games over gymnastics. So not the typical girl I guess. And while I really like listening to music, I absolutely don't like music classes. My favorite hobby is playing basketball. I spend 3 to 4 evenings per week on the court. Besides playing, I got my referee's license, too. When I'm home, I love decorating my room or play some video games. I really like things being tidy and organized. Outside, I very much enjoy hiking in the mountains or forests, or cycling. But for cycling, I prefer flat regions, not so much climbing heights. People say that I'm a very reliable and helpful person, especially in school. That is one reason why I want to become a teacher myself. I'm also very loyal and honest. I can't stand dishonesty. Sports is very important to me, too. I am very curious about the United States. I really hope to discover different styles of American cuisine and experience the life of a high school student. I also hope I will be able to visit one or two big cities, which we do not really have here at home. I am looking forward to seeing you and experiencing a whole new way of life.
