PLOYCHOMPOO

's Letter

Dear Host Family, My name is Pink, and I am a high school student from Thailand. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to introduce myself to you, and I sincerely appreciate your kindness in welcoming an exchange student into your home. I am very excited about the possibility of living with an American host family and learning about daily life in the United States. I would describe myself as a responsible, curious, and open-minded person. I genuinely enjoy learning new things and often ask questions because I want to understand people, cultures, and ideas more deeply. I believe curiosity is an important part of personal growth, and it helps me adapt to new environments more easily. I am also someone who cares about others’ feelings and tries to be considerate in my words and actions. Although I may be a little quiet at first, once I feel comfortable, I enjoy conversations and meaningful exchanges. In my daily life, I am quite independent and organized. I manage my own schedule, complete my school responsibilities on time, and take care of my personal belongings. At home, I regularly help with household chores such as cleaning my room, washing dishes, and assisting with other small tasks. I understand that every family has its own rules and routines, and I am fully willing to respect and follow them. I believe that being responsible and respectful is essential when living with others, especially in a host family. I enjoy spending my free time in simple but meaningful ways. I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, and spending time chatting with the people around me. I also enjoy observing how people live their daily lives, as I believe there is always something to learn from even the smallest moments. I am very interested in experiencing American culture, whether it is through school life, family activities, or everyday conversations at home. Trying new food, learning about traditions, and understanding different viewpoints are experiences I truly look forward to. One of the main reasons I chose to join this exchange program in the United States is my strong desire to gain new experiences and broaden my perspective. I believe that living with a host family is the best way to truly understand American values, culture, and lifestyle. I am eager to learn not only from school, but also from daily interactions with my host family. I would be happy to share my own culture, traditions, and experiences from Thailand as well. Living away from home will be a new challenge for me, but I see it as an opportunity to grow into a more confident and mature person. I am ready to face challenges with a positive attitude and an open mind. If I ever make mistakes or misunderstand something, I am always willing to listen, ask questions, and improve myself. I believe that communication and mutual understanding are the keys to building a warm and respectful relationship. During my stay in the United States, I hope to become not just a guest, but a genuine member of your family. I would love to spend time together, whether it is sharing meals, talking about our day, or participating in family activities. I will do my best to be caring, respectful, and supportive, and to bring positive energy into your home. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter. I truly hope to have the opportunity to meet you and learn from you. I am sincerely excited about the possibility of becoming part of your family and creating meaningful memories together during my exchange year. Warm regards, Pink
