Dear Host Family, Thank you very much for being willing to take part in the exchange program and for accepting me into your family. I am French, and I would like to do an exchange year to improve my English, which I think will help me in my future and my studies. I also want to discover new things: a new culture, try new sports, discover American high schools, make friends I will stay in touch with after I leave, and above all meet a family with whom I can build strong bonds. Living a new experience is very important to me. I love sports, especially handball (I have been playing in a club since 2018) and volleyball (I do not play it in a club, but I play every summer and whenever I get the chance). However, I am open to trying all kinds of sports. I also love anime, animals, and children (I do babysitting, I watch a lot of anime, and I stop in the street every time I see a dog or a cat, haha). I am sociable, I love making new friends and going out. I am serious at school and I work hard. My father is a trainer and runs his own company. My mother is a real estate agent. I also have an older brother who is in his final year of high school, and a dog named Ripley who is almost six years old. I get along very well with them, and I am also very close to my cousins and aunts. We often meet at my grandmother’s house to play volleyball, play board games, go out dancing, and take walks. We are a very close family. I have many friends that I get along with very well: friends from school, from sports, and from vacations (I make friends easily when I travel). At school, I am serious and hardworking, but that does not stop me from having fun and laughing with my friends. Later, I would like to become a criminal lawyer or work in business and management. These are two very different jobs, but both interest me. On one hand, helping bring justice to people who have suffered from injustice, and on the other hand, running a company to help develop my country. But maybe in the USA I will discover another job that interests me even more! I hope to become part of your family and to be a helpful member in everyday life, including household chores. I am very excited about discovering new things. Thank you very much for welcoming me! Kind regards, Camille
