's Letter
Hey ! I'm Manon and I'm from France.
I really appreciate your involvement in the exchange program. It's wonderful that you're offering young people such a unique and unforgettable experience.
I've always dreamed of discovering the United States and spending a whole year there through an exchange program would be the perfect way to truly experience the culture and make my dream come true.
I'm an extraverted and adventurous person with an optimistic outlook on life. Sport play a big part in my routine. I used to swim, and now I go to the gym four times a week, sometimes adding a run when I can.
I also enjoy creative and manual activities like crochet, but especially drawing which helps me to concentrate on something and think only about that.
I love watching films and series, particularly dystopian stories, The 100 is my favorite. And my favorite book is Hunger Games.
I've played guitar for many years, but I've developed a preference for the piano over the past three years.
I love having deep conversations about cinema, psychology, nutrition, sports, and Formula One. I'm also always eager to try new experiences, whether it's paddle, volleyball or iceskating.
My friends are a very important part of my life, and I love spending time with them, whether we're doing activities together or just hanging out and talking. After school, I always take time to do things I enjoy, but I also make sure to save time for my family.
I live with my 13 year old brother, whom I get along with very well, my mother, who works as a veterinary assistant, my father, who is a train driver, my dog and my cat. I'm very close to my family, and I truly hope to become close to yours soon too.
I've always loved United States because I feel that people there have an open-minded spirit that really inspires me. I would love to experience American celebrations, which seem so much more impressive than in France. I'm very excited to discover the culture, the food, and the American school system, which I find fascinating. High school life there has always been a dream for me.
I also hope to join a sports team. I'm open to trying new sports, but I'd also love to keep practicing the ones I already enjoy in France. More than anything, I want to see what everyday life is like for an American student.
But what matters the most to me is discovering your family's culture and truly feeling what it's like to live as a real American.
At the same time, I really hope to share my own French traditions with you. I would love to cook some French dishes for your family and show you a bit of my culture. I truly believe that an exchange like this is not only about discovering a new country but also about bringing something personal in return. I'm sure I can bring warmth, curiosity, and positivity to your home, and I hope I can make you discover a little piece of France through me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter and for considering welcoming me into your life. I know this experience will be life-changing, and I'm truly excited to share unforgettable moments with you. I can't wait to bring my curiosity and joy into your family and to create memories that we'll never forget.
Manon
