Dear host family, My name is Sophie and I am from the Netherlands! I love to play sports and I also find it very fun to watch people playing sports. My favourite sport is dancing, I have been dancing for many years now and for me it is a great way to express my emotions and feelings. I am a very outgoing, happy, positive and creative person. I love being part of my family and I hope to be a part of your family too! I have a little sister and a big brother, my sister is called 'Daphne' and my brother is called 'Mathijs'. We are super close to each other and they mean the world to me. We actually have a very joking relationship with eachother, it is always so fun when we are together! They both play soccer and I love to see them play! I work at a local restaurant in my town, I find this job super fun because I can chat with people and everytime I am working, I become more social because I talk to a lot of people! I like doing fun activities with my family and friends, even the super small activities like getting an icecream at the icecream shop. My favourite activity is going to the beach because I really like the warm weather and the little breeze in your hair when you are laying on the sand. My favourite color is butter yellow. In general I like summery colors! I really enjoy watching horror movies, and I also like Halloween! In my home country we don't celebrate Halloween. I would love to experience this holiday in America! I also really enjoy shopping, and it is even better when I bring my sister or my friends with me! Our favourite city to shop is Amsterdam, this is the capital of the Netherlands! My favourite food is spaghetti, I enjoy spaghetti Bolognese the most! My favourite seasons are spring and summer because the weather is perfect! I am really a gift-giving person, I like to give gifts to the people I love the most! My favourite drink is apple juice, I could drink it anytime, anywhere! A food that I also love is a açai bowl! My intention in life is to make the most out of it and make a lot of memories! I love trying new things and explore the world. When I will be America, my goal is to say YES to everything that will be offered to me! When I am older, I want to be a nurse in the Netherlands. I like learning new things and I always want to help people, so I thought that nursings would be a great suitable job for me! I also like studying, and I love to learn more about the things I am interested in. I would love to move in with a American host family because I love making new friends and I am super excited to get to know the American culture. I want to go to America because I want to explore the world when I am still in my teenage years, and I would love to make new friends and meet my future host family. I would also love to make long lasting memories while I'm on my exchange year. I want to try new things like cheerleading! I would also love to watch football and basketball games.
