Dear host family, Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter and for giving me the chance to introduce myself. My name is Taljana and I am already looking forward to the stay in the USA. I am excited to learn about your culture and your way of life. I am looking forward to high school and I’m very curious how school works in the USA. I am open for new things. I’ve been playing for many years and I really enjoy it. I have found many friends and that is another reason why I have much more fun playing. When I come to the U.S., I would love to keep playing soccer, but I'm also very interested in trying volleyball,tennis or even cheerleading, because I used to dance and do gymnastics for many years. At home, I live with my parents, my little brother, and our dog. We have a really good relationship and we love spending time together, whether it's going for walks, watching movies, or cooking. My dad, my brother, and I also love going to the soccer stadium every second weekend to support our favorite team, FC Schalke 04. I love my parents and i’m really grateful that they are so supportive for my exchange year and they are also very happy that I will have the chance to experience American life and culture. I am also very close to my best friend we do almost everything together, like watching soccer, hanging out, cooking, and much more. Our friendship is very important to me, and we always support each other.I think she would say that I'm kind, funny, and always ready to help. I am also very curious about American culture and traditions, and I would love to visit a pumpkin patch. Here in Germany, I sometimes visit pumpkin patches, but the ones in America seem so much bigger, more beautiful, and more interesting, so I would really love to see one myself. I’m very excited about experiencing American sports culture,especially football,basketball, and baseball.I’m also very interested in learning more about these sports. A sport that I also really love is Formula 1. My grandpa passed his love for this sport fon to my brother and me, and we’ve always enjoyed watching it together since we were little. I really hope that one day I’ll be able to experience a race. My favorites are pizza or pasta.When i come to the US in want to try so many new foods,and i’m also so excited to try it. I don’t have any allergies and I love animals. We have a dog named Luna at home and I love spending time or playing with her. I also love travelling and discovering new places. Exploring new cities or countries is something I dream of.I think this dream of see the world comes from my father because he traveled twice in a year to new places and see the whole world with his own eyes and meet many nice new people.So I also like to see the world,enjoying new cultures, landscapes, and experiences. I’m very excited and so happy to spend my next year in America and go to an american high school,meet new people and live with a host family for 10 Months.
