Dear host family, I want to give you a visit in my life, for you to get to know me. First of all, I think I would make a great exchange student, because I am a person with a positive spirit. When my friends are sad, I will always find something to make them laugh and feel better. I like learning new things and I love learning languages, especially English. I also like to meet new people and I am always open to do something. I would always help doing chores, because I always help my family and I am used to it. About my family, it was me, my three years younger little brother, my mother and my father, until he died eight years ago. It was only me, my brother and my mom. We lived alone in our house but we were happy again after some time. We have always lived in the same house in a little village. Two years ago, my mom got a new boyfriend who recently demolished a house on the other side of our village. The same year, the house build was finished and we moved in this new house together with Tobias, my mom´s boyfriend, in August 2023. We sold our old house and now live exactly next to my grandparents. Tobias has a daughter, who is five years younger than me and lives with us every second weekend. My mom and Tobias will marry next year, but we still call him our stepfather and his daughter our stepsister. We also have animals. We have three cats named Amy, which is a little black one, Zoey, which is a little one with different colors like orange, black, and white, and Tessa, which is our older cat and she is black with some white spots. My favorite hobby is riding horses. I have been riding horses for the past four years and it is my passion. Riding really brings me to live and I love it. Currently I am riding a 16 year old Holsteiner mare named Bali. She´s dark brown and 5 feet and 6 inches tall. My other hobbies are reading and meeting my friends. Let´s start with reading. I love to feel myself in those stories. I feel like living a thousand different lives while reading and there isn´t a better feeling than that. When I am bored and don´t want to read, I just listen to music and draw something or bake something. And now my favorite part. My friends. We are a friend group of 17 people and I love to spend time with them. I have known most of them since elementary school and we met the others in primary school. We hang out almost every weekend and do a lot of different things. Mostly we order food and listen to music while singing to it. With them I have the best time. There is always something to laugh about. We are 10 girls and 7 boys. When I don´t do any of those things, I just sit in my room and listen to music or watch a movie or a series. Maybe I am also just sleeping or learning for school. I also want to talk about my traveling experiences. Almost every year during the fall break, my family and I travel somewhere. I found my love for traveling there. It doesn´t matter if flying or sailing with a cruise ship. We did both and I love both what brings me to my plans after I finish school. First I want to do an Au Pair year in America after I finish school. Then I want to buy a camper and travel around the world. I want to do it alone and meet new people everywhere. There are so many interesting things to see and I want to see them all. I want to work everywhere I am a little bit, so I can keep traveling. I don´t know yet, how long I want to travel. When I come back, I don´t want to stay in Germany. I want to move to England and start a new life there. I feel like I can`t start a real new life, my life, when I stay here. I want to be away from home but not too far away. I will build my life piece by piece from the very beginning. I want to meet new people and friends, have new surroundings and really live my life the best I can. I want to study and work in England, although I don´t know yet what I want to study and work. I think that I will learn a lot about jobs when I am on my world tour so maybe I will find my dream job there. At school I would say I am a good student and I have good grades. I am just a little bit silent and don´t raise my hand often. That I don´t speak much doesn´t normally fit my personality. I am a person with a positive spirit and I am open-minded. I laugh a lot and I talk a lot, just not in school. I want to visit an American high school, because I find it so interesting, how different the school systems between the US and Germany are and I want to learn more about that. I also really want to learn more about the culture and the people. Of course I want to work on my speaking skills. And I am interested in getting to know the US itself. I want to stay with you, because I want to see how families in the US live different to those in Germany and because I want to meet new people and learn more about the Americans.
