's Letter
Dear host family,
I cannot express how grateful I am that you include me as part of your family. Without you, this experience would not be possible.
I am from Spain, a beautiful country full of warm people. However, I am looking forward to exploring the American culture and traditions, as I love to try new environments.
I am a girl who loves meeting new people, so I am a really outgoing and loving person. I am also very hardworking with my studies, because I think it is crucial for my future; I hope to study medicine.
My biggest hobby is reading. I am also into sports. Although in Spain I only go to the gym, I would really love to join the high school club of cheerleading. In addition, besides the cheerleading, I want to practice some sports such as softball or basketball. I would understand if it is not possible to join a sport club. Nevertheless, I would be able to try other activities like theatre or music!
Another thing that I would love to do in America, as a person that loves helping people, is community service. Maybe that is a day to day activity for American people, but in Spain we do not have the opportunity to help or contribute to the community.
The most important thing in my life is my friends and family. My mom and dad both work in hospitality. They are loving people and I can not be more thankful to them for giving me this opportunity. I also have two siblings, the oldest is studying to be a nursing assistant and the youngest is still in elementary school.
My friends are another essential part of my life. I spend most of my time with them and they are always there when I need them.
I am so excited to meet you and to share with you my traditions, culture and my life. I hope this letter helps you to get to know me better and to encourage you to let me be part of your life.
Kisses, Natalia.
