Dear Host Family, Hi! My name is Olivia, and I live in Spain. I’m very excited about the opportunity to live with you next year. I can’t wait to get to know your family, experience daily life in the U.S., and share my own experiences with you. I’m friendly, curious, and love meeting new people, so I hope we can have a lot of fun together. I’m responsible, caring, and sensitive. I always try to help others and pay attention to the people around me. I live with my parents and my four brothers: Gabriel (18), Gonzalo (17, who did a J1 exchange last year), Daniel (8), and Luján (2). Living with them is lively and fun, and we enjoy spending time together, playing, talking, and sharing hobbies. Seeing Gonzalo’s exchange experience inspired me a lot, and I hope to have my own adventure in the U.S. I’m really passionate about soccer. I’ve been playing since I was eight, and it has taught me to be strong, determined, and work as part of a team. I would love to keep playing in the U.S. and maybe join a local team. I also love music—I play the piano, enjoy singing, and adore American music. Watching TV series and movies is another hobby, and I hope we can watch some together, talk about them, or even sing a little! I enjoy drawing and being creative, and I’m always excited to try new experiences, foods, and activities. I’m especially looking forward to meeting new friends, learning about American culture, and sharing my Spanish culture with you. Going to school in the U.S. is important to me because I want to improve my English, learn from new teachers and classmates, and experience a different education system. In the future, I hope to continue studying and learning about new things, and I want to follow a career that allows me to combine my passions, creativity, and teamwork skills. I think this exchange program will help me grow as a person, become more independent, and better understand the world. Thank you so much for welcoming me into your home. I’m really excited to meet you, share my passions, and make wonderful memories together. I’m sure this experience will be unforgettable, and I can’t wait to start this adventure with your family! Sincerely, Olivia
