Dear Host Family,
Thank you very much for your willingness in the exchange program and for accepting me to live with your family.
I am Chilean and currently in 10th grade; I will finish school in 2027. Afterward, I would love to study something related to children, such as pediatrics or becoming a kindergarten teacher, and hopefully, I will have the chance to study abroad as well.
I love to travel and explore new things. I am excited to learn about American culture and share new experiences with you. I enjoy watching movies, putting on makeup, listening to music, shopping, eating at new places, and spending time with friends and family. I really like both dogs and cats. I would describe myself as an honest, empathetic, responsible, and persevering person.
At the moment, I only speak Spanish, and I am currently learning English at a British institute. I hope to master it soon. I also look forward to participating in activities in the United States, such as volleyball, cheerleading, and other sports or school clubs. I really enjoy spending time with small children and have a great relationship with them.
My dad runs an event production company and is also a musician. My mom is a kindergarten teacher. My older brother is nine years older than me and is studying civil construction engineering at university. We are a very close family, and I hope to become a part of yours as well.
I have great relationships with my friends and classmates, and I would love to make new friends in the United States.
I would really enjoy spending time with my host family, and I am excited to share my knowledge about traditional toys, sweets, and typical Chilean food.
I hope we can meet soon and create many unforgettable memories together with you and my new friends in the United States. I am excited to be a part of your family!
Warm regards,
Josefa
