Dear Host Family, My name is Jorge, and I am very excited about the opportunity to live with an American family and experience daily life in the United States. I would like to take this chance to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about who I am. I consider myself a responsible, cheerful, sociable, creative, and understanding person. In my free time, I enjoy boxing, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with my friends. I like to stay active and try new things, especially those that allow me to learn and connect with others. I want to live in the United States because I believe it is a great opportunity for me to grow both personally and academically. I think it’s important to make new friends, learn about different cultures, and experience a new way of life. I’m also very interested in American traditions and I would love to participate in school activities such as clubs or sports teams. Right now, I live in Spain with my parents and my sister, and we also have a dog. I have a very good relationship with my family, we like spending time together and doing fun activities. My friends and I also enjoy hanging out, making plans, and having a good time together. At school, I get along very well with my teachers because they have known me since I was little. My favorite subjects are Math, Art, and Physical Education. In the future, I would like to study Computer Engineering combined with Mathematics, since I am very interested in technology and problem-solving. I would also love to share a bit of my Spanish culture with you. Spain has a very rich tradition of food, music, and family gatherings. I enjoy cooking some traditional dishes like tortilla de patatas and croquetas, and I would be happy to prepare them for you. I think sharing our cultures is one of the most beautiful parts of this experience. I am really looking forward to meeting my host family and sharing my culture with you while learning about yours.
