I’m so excited to meet you!
Dear Host Family,
my name is Max, I’m almost 16 years old, and I come from Germany. I can hardly put into words how excited and thankful I am that you are opening your home to me. It means a lot to me that you are willing to share your family life, your time, and your culture with me — that’s something very special.
At home, I live with my parents, and we are very close. I also have a big family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. I really enjoy spending time with them, especially with the younger children — I like playing with them, helping them, and seeing how much fun they have. Family is very important to me, and that’s why I’m especially happy to become part of yours for a while.
I go to a Gymnasium (a high school that prepares for university) and spend most of my free time doing sports — especially soccer and also in winter skiing. Sports are a big part of who I am because they teach me teamwork, discipline, and friendship.
But I’m also a person who loves discovering new things — new people, new places, and new ways of life. That’s one of the main reasons why I wanted to be an exchange student. I’m really looking forward to learning about your traditions, trying new foods, joining in your family activities, and just being part of your daily life.
I would describe myself as open-minded, spontaneous and friendly. I enjoy spending time with others, laughing, and helping wherever I can. I’m sure there will be moments when everything feels new and different, but I’m ready for that adventure — and I know I’ll learn a lot from it.
I hope that during my stay, we can build a warm and friendly relationship, share stories, and create wonderful memories together. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you, your family, and your home.
Thank you so much again for welcoming me — I’m very grateful and can’t wait to meet you soon!
With love and warm regards,
Max
