's Letter
Dear future Host Family,
My name is Emma, I’m 16 years old, I am from France, and I’m so happy to have the chance to live this amazing adventure in the United States! I’m a curious, enthusiastic person who loves learning new things and meeting new people. I can’t wait to discover your culture, your lifestyle, and to share mine with you. This exchange year is a dream come true for me.
My Personality :
I’m a smiling and cheerful person who loves to laugh and tease my friends and family, always in a kind and playful way! I am curious, and people often tell me that I bring good energy around me. I like helping others and making everyday life more positive. I’m also organized and responsible; at home, I naturally take part in household chores because I believe living together means helping each other.
My Family :
In my family, there are four of us: my parents, Claire and Philippe, my younger brother Louis, who is 14 years old, and our lovely dog Naia. We are a very close family! We enjoy spending time together, watching movies, cooking, doing activities, or just talking during family meals. I’m also very close to my grandparents and my cousins — we all live in the same area, so we see each other very often. Family means a lot to me. They are very happy for me to have the opportunity to live this experience!
My Passions :
I’ve been dancing for several years, and it’s truly my passion! I love learning new choreographies and performing on stage. Dancing makes me feel alive and helps me grow as a person. I also really enjoy cooking — I often prepare meals for my family, and I love both making and eating what I cook! I enjoy trying new recipes and sharing my creations with others.
My Friends and My Values :
My friends are a big part of my life. We’ve known each other since kindergarten, and we share so many wonderful memories together! We love doing activities, going out, or simply spending time talking. I value trust, kindness, and respect in all my relationships. The relationship with my parents is also based on those values. I always talk to them openly and ask for their advice before making any important decisions.
My American Dream:
I’m really looking forward to living this experience with you! I would love to discover your everyday life, take part in your traditions, taste your favorite dishes, and share some of mine with you. I hope to become part of your family, to share real moments together, and to create memories that will stay with us forever.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter !
