Dear Host Family,
Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange student program and accepting me to live with your family.
I am a Spanish boy, and I have just started my first year of high school. I would like to study 10th grade in the United States, get to know new things, and explore the United States and its culture.
I like reading books, I really love playing sports, such as ping pong, padel, skiing and sometimes soccer.
My soccer team is Real Madrid, and I sometimes go with my family to the stadium to watch them play. Twice a week I practice padel in a club and three times a week I practice ping pong in another club. On weekends I play on a padel and a ping pong competitions. Also, once a week after High School, I go swimming. I used to swim more a few years ago, but since two years ago, I stopped swimming that much.
Every year, with my family we go skiing for a week, we normally go to the Pyrenees.
I am a very outgoing, straightforward, creative, artistic, academic and fun-loving person.
I speak Spanish and a little bit of French and I look forward to becoming fluent in English.
I like listening to music, especially reggaeton when I am going to school, playing video games with my friends and hanging out with them.
My dad is a Civil Engineer, he works in a company that designs bridges and other types of structures, my mom studied Mathematics and works in one of the main banks in Spain.
Yago is my oldest brother, and he studies Mathematics and Computing at university; Aitor is my second older brother and he is a senior in High School; and Gael is my younger brother and goes to 6th grade. We enjoy playing board games, going out for dinner together, watching movies, going to see Real Madrid soccer games and travelling around. We are a close family, and I hope to become part of yours as well.
From my country, Spain, I like its gastronomy, its art and its historical monumental places which teaches us the history around them. I would love to share all these with my host family.
My brother Aitor studied two years ago as an exchange student and that experience made me more determined to go to America and learn about your culture. I believe that I can have a similar experience and have unforgettable memories with your family and my new friends in the USA. I am excited to become part of your family, and I would appreciate it a lot!
Thank you for hosting me, looking forward to seeing you very soon.
