's Letter
Dear host family,
First of all I want to thank you for spending some time with reading my letter. In the following lines I want to introduce myself to you, by talking about my family, hobbies, friends and expectations for my stay abroad in the USA.
My family and I are living in a little town in Germany.
I live together with my mum and my two sisters. I have one twin sister and one sister who is two years older than me , I have a really close connection to them. I also have a really good relationship to my mum and my dad , they support me a lot. So my family is a big part of my life and I like spending time with them.
I help my parents to do the housework and work in the garden.
During the weekend I often do trips with my family. Last weekend we were camping in Luxemburg that was a lot of fun. I am open do try new things , so if you have any activities or hobbies you want to do, I definitely want to try them.
I also love to travel with my family, for example we often travel to Italy or go on skiing holidays to Austria or Switzerland. I am very interested in getting to know new places ,languages, countries and cultures .
At the moment I am still in the 9th grade but when I start my year abroad I will be in the 11th grade. I am a good student and I have no problems at school. My favorite subjects at school are English and Mathematics. I am also in the school choir .
My favorite hobby is dancing. There I have training several times a week with my team. Another hobby I like is swimming , in my swimming club I also teaches children between 6 too 14 years in swimming. I've been doing this for three years and I like it very much because it is so beautiful to see the progress the kids are making . I love the sea and the ocean and I am core in core in the water .
My favorite animals are dogs , because I had one myself and I think that they are very loving animals.
I also play two the piano and the flute one time a week.
During my free time I like to meet my friends and doing different activities like going to the cinema or go shopping and a lot of other activities.
I want to do a year abroad because I want to get to new the American way of live and the American school spirit. I also want to improve my English and I want to learn a lot of the American culture and making new friends.
I thank you very much and I look forward to seeing you soon and thank you very much for letting me live with your family.
I hope this letter gave you a first impression of me and I hope that I am the right exchange student for you.
Your sincerely Julia
