Dear host family.
My name is Gonzalo. I am an exchange student from the central part of Spain. I have an older brother with whom I get along very well. I live with my parents, my brother and my dog. I have a very close relationship with my parents. I love them and I have a lot of confidence with them. I am extrovert and very sociable boy. I have a great group of friends which I meet every weekend. I love pets, mainly my dog.
I like sports a lot. My favorite sport is skiing. In winter, I go with my family and some friends to Spanish mountains called The Pyrenees for skiing. I love skiing and I enjoy a lot !
I also play soccer in the High school team. Every Saturday morning, I play with my soccer team against other High school teams.
On every weekend, I play golf with my father and my brother and sometimes I play golf with my friends. It relaxes me a lot being playing in the course.
In summer, I go to the north of Spain to spend holidays with my parents and my brother. We have there lots of friends. I always practice surf in the Cantabric Sea in the north coast. I enjoy surfing a lot. I love going walking with my dog. I go to the park near home. It is a big and nice park where many people are having a walk with their dogs.
I go to a Catholic religious High school so every morning we pray and celebrate all the liturgical festivals. Every day we have a time schedule with the different subjects. The ones I like the most are Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Physics and also Sports class. Every week, we practice physical education, soccer and paddle.
I do not have well-defined future plans but I have a slight idea that I would like to study engineering, which in Spain is a specific grade, and I would like to work in a very famous company in some other countries. The most influential people for me are my parents and some of my teachers. I rely on them a lot. They always help me to take the best decisions and they are the ones which I spend more time every day.
Normally what I usually do with my family is breakfast and dinner. The rest of the time I spend at school, studying at home and playing several sports. But on weekends, I spend more time with them, either to go for a walk, play sports, go to eat at a restaurant or watch movies or soccer matches on TV.
A perfect day for me would be a Saturday. I get up in the morning, I play a soccer match with my High school mates. Then I come back home, get ready and spend time with my family and my dog until we go to a restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon I play golf or go for a walk with my dog and during the evening I meet some friends, watch a movie with them and come back at night to have dinner with my family. That would be a perfect day for me.
What I am most excited about going abroad is living a new life experience, know another culture, meet new friends and learn more about American sports.
I thank you in advance for your great hospitality and I promise to accept your internal rules of coexistence.
Kind regards from Spain, Gonzalo.
